Just came back from 'Fresh Pics' a group show at Ridgefield Guild of Artists. Nice collection of work that provokes me to connect with curator Camilla Cook an artist consultant.
The business of making art requires vision, creativity, passion and stick to it-tiveness.The business of making a living as artist is quite something else. Art as commodity requires an enormous amount of organization, good writing skills, marketing to name only a few components.
When all is said and done a photograph or any form of expression relies on an audience to reflect back on the message. Without that, a song, illustration, or performance is just a solitary indulgence of a train of thought. Hopefully the price of a professional consultation isn't too steep.
